More than three thousand people gathered to see New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton make her first presidential campaign stop in South Carolina The overflowing audience packed an auditorium at Allen University, a historically black college, to hear Clinton speak in a town hall-style setting.
Over the weekend, Senator Barack Obama of Illinois drew a crowd approaching five thousand at historically black Claflin College.
HBCU’s are a must-visit in this early voting state where half the Democratic primary voters are black.

Pat Robertson, Jerry Farwell and Bob Jones III all endorsed Tim Hardaway for President today.
Obama and Clinton need these votes to get out of the primary, so expect the Palmetto state to be over-run with folks funny speaking folks. Lines are being drawn and it looks like the old civil rights guards against the new bloods. The first one who brings in Timmy Hardaway will win, remember this the Dirty South.

Before primaries became so pervasive, parties picked better candidates. Guys would sit in smoke filled rooms and pick guys like Eisenhower, Truman, Roosevelt. The irony of it all since the process is now more democratic, these weasels they nominate don’t reflect the mainstream. I can see those red-necks down in sc sitting around with Hillary eating croissants, and sharing a pork chop sanmic with Obama. I don’t see it happening.

I guess by now I’m voting for my brother Obama, but I reserve the right to change my mind. I really like both candidates, but it disturbs me to see candidates sucking up to southerns, especially down in sc. I was in the military there and when I go to FL, I make sure I’m gassed up so I don’t have to stop in that rebel state.

Calling Political Black a non-partisan website for Blacks is a total distortion. To many republicans are shown in good light, and having a Giuliani banner is not non-partisan. I love the discussions about Obama and Clinton though. I’m leaning towards Clinton, but my wife thinks Obama is cute. Can you image a cute president, but we don’t have to worry about that if Hillary wins.

To be fair, Zelmo, there’s a stigma about being called a liberal in this society. There are plenty of people who quality as a “liberal” without being a bleeding heart.I’m placing my bet with moderates, and that seems to be where Obama and Hillary both sit. I do Like HRC stance on the flag.
